Alyce Speaks on the Power of Humor and How to Harness it

Alyce Chan has been a speaker at very notable conferences such as the ALT Summit and Mom2.0 Summit. Alyce alongside with Rosie Nguyen spoke on the Power of Humor and how to harness it to elevate your brand and voice on social media.

In Alyce’s talk particularly, as a stand up comedian and a sketch actor/writer, she shares personal experiences and exercises with the audience to help break down inhibitions and to find your inner voice. She claims that everybody has a sense of humor and that there are many different types. Some people approach it more naturally than others and others need a little direction in how to let go of some barriers. Through her session, women have felt more inspired and motivated and learned what their specific humor type is and how to embrace and use it to level up.

The first time I attended Alyce's show was a few years ago at an event for entrepreneurs. Between then and now, I became a mom of three. And I want to bring more humor and creativity into my life. So I went to Alyce's event, bringing the other mom friends along, leaving our supportive husbands at home to entertain our kids. We had such a wonderful time with so much good laughter. It's not just the pure laughter from any comedy show. It's indeed like "cashmere": Alyce truly made the moms in the room feel not only understood, but also proud of our roles as a mom, a wife and a human. This is hard to make happen in comedy, yet Alyce nailed it. So naturally. So authentically. With Alyce's stories, our mom brains, therefore, could be switched back to its responsive mode where we could better cope with the daily stress, overwhelm, shame and guit, to not only thrive but also shine the light for and better connect with others along our own growth journey. This is exactly why I highly recommend her show to any moms and dads, and any organizations that support mom talents
